Prolifik Glossary

Plain-English definitions for Prolifik app terms including brands, content angles, Pulse Mode, pieces, slots, automations and statuses.

Plain definitions for every term that shows up in the Prolifik app or these docs.

A

Active brand — The brand currently selected from the workspace switcher (top-left of the sidebar). Most pages default to showing only the active brand's data; some have an "All brands" toggle.

Active days — Days of the week, on a brand's posting schedule, when slots fire. Other days are skipped automatically.

AI writes it (Text Story / Meme Reaction / Clip Montage / Video Hook & Demo) — Generation mode where the AI authors the script from your prompt. The alternative is Type my own.

Angle (Content Angle) — A reusable strategic theme on a brand. Angles bias the AI toward specific messages without re-prompting every time. Up to many active angles per brand.

Approved — A piece that has been positively swiped in Pulse. Approved pieces are auto-queued to the Calendar at the next available slot.

Archive — Library filter for pieces that have been manually archived or rejected from Pulse.

Automation — A bulk-render operation that produces 25–1,000 pieces from a single brief. Created at /automations/new. Pieces it produces carry the AUTOMATION source label.

B

Brand — The unit of voice, palette, audience, and posting cadence. A workspace can hold many brands. Each brand has its own auto-extracted Identity & Product, Purpose & Positioning, Market & Competition, and posting schedule.

Brand Intelligence — The auto-analysis layer that reads your homepage and extracts colors, voice, product offering, and competitors when you add a brand. Re-run with Re-analyze any time.

Brand workspace — On Enterprise, a dedicated container for one client's brand, isolated from others.

C

Calendar — The publishing schedule view at /calendar. Month grid + day-detail panel. Drag-and-drop supported.

Content Angles — See Angle.

Content Library — See Library.

Create New (Content tab mode) — Default content-creation mode where you write a fresh prompt. The alternative is Remix, which starts from a trending example.

Customer Segments (Brand → Market & Competition) — Audience breakdown, formatted Name - X%. Visualized as a colored bar.

D

Decide later — Shorthand for the "Render now & decide later" automation mode, which sends pieces to the Library + Pulse for swipe approval. The alternative is Render & download zip.

Direct Posting API (Pro plan feature) — Direct platform-publishing without manual copy-paste. Not a public Prolifik API — that's on the roadmap.

Do's / Don'ts (Brand → Tone & Voice) — Up to 10 Do's and 10 Don'ts that constrain every script generated under the brand.

F

Failed (piece status) — The piece's render or publish failed. The Calendar surfaces a retry option; many failures are connector token expirations.

Format — One of the five output structures: Image Carousel, Text Story, Meme Reaction, Clip Montage, Video Hook & Demo.

I

Image Carousel — Format. Slide-based with bold text overlays and audio. Highest save rate.

L

Library — The all-time list of every rendered piece in your workspace, at /library. Filterable by Status, Format, and Source. Searchable by script text.

M

Manual content — Single-piece generation via /content/{format}. Source label MANUAL in the Library. Counterpart to Automation.

Meme Reaction — Format. AI avatar reacts on screen while content plays behind. Native to TikTok / Reels virality.

Mention your brand name — Toggle on every Content tab. Yes/No determines whether the script explicitly names the brand.

P

PARTIAL (post status) — Piece posted to some connected platforms, failed on others. Usually a connector reconnect.

Piece — One generated video. Sometimes called a video, a script, or content. The unit of your monthly cap.

Plan & Billing — Settings dialog section showing your plan, usage, and invoice info.

POSTED (post status) — Piece is live on the platform.

Posting schedule (per brand) — Timezone + active days + times-of-day. Determines when approved pieces auto-publish.

Preferences (Pulse) — Filters for what shows up in your Pulse session — by brand, format, or source.

Priority Rendering (Pro plan feature) — Pro automations are processed before Starter automations when the queue is busy.

Pulse Mode — The swipe-to-approve interface at /pulse. Approve with , skip with , mute with M.

Q

Queued — Synonym for SCHEDULED in some Calendar copy.

Remix (Content tab mode) — Generation mode that starts from a trending example. Click Remix this on any trending card.

Render & download zip (automation mode) — Pieces render and you receive a zip. Pieces do not enter Pulse or Calendar.

Render now & decide later (automation mode) — Pieces render and land in Library + Pulse for swipe approval. Default.

Rendering (piece status) — Visuals are being produced. Becomes Ready on completion or Failed on render error.

S

SCHEDULED (piece / post status) — The piece is queued to a Calendar slot and will publish at that slot.

Schedule new post (Calendar) — Ad-hoc scheduling for a specific time outside the recurring brand schedule.

Slot — A (day-of-week, time-of-day) combination on a brand's posting schedule. Approved pieces fill the next available slot for their brand.

Source (Library filter)MANUAL, AUTOMATION, or All. Indicates how a piece was generated.

Status (Library / Calendar)READY, RENDERING, SCHEDULED, POSTED, PARTIAL, FAILED, ARCHIVE. See Statuses below.
