Manual Content Creation Guide

The manual flow at /content/{format} is for when you have a specific idea and want one piece, exact. For batch generation see Automations.

The screen

Top tabs select the format: Image Carousel · Text Story · Meme Reaction · Clip Montage · Video Hook & Demo. Each tab has its own URL: /content/carousel, /content/text, /content/meme, /content/montage, /content/hook.

To the right of the format tabs: Run as Automation — opens the New Automation flow pre-set to the current format.

The page is split:

• Left panel — generation settings (mode + inputs).
• Right panel — Trending Content gallery (when in Create New mode) or Preview (after generation), plus action buttons: Save, Schedule, Download.

The two modes

Create New

Generate a fresh piece from a prompt. This is the default mode.

Inputs depend on format — see the formats reference. All formats share:

• Mention your brand name — Yes/No toggle.
• Prompt — what the video should be about.

Image Carousel additionally exposes:

• Theme — auto-fills slides with themed visuals.
• Images — pick from your Library or upload directly. Leave empty for AI-generated visuals.

Text-driven formats (Text Story, Meme Reaction, Clip Montage, Video Hook & Demo) additionally expose:

• Text — choose AI writes it or Type my own. The "Type my own" path is useful when you have an exact line you want to test.

Click Generate to render. The piece moves to the Library with Rendering status, then Ready once the renderer finishes.

Remix

The Remix tab lets you start from a high-performing piece in the Trending Content bank and adapt it to your brand and topic.

1. Click the Remix tab.
2. Browse the trending carousel — paginated, with up to 20+ industry filters: All, B2B App, B2B SaaS/Platform, B2C App, Course/Digital Product, E-Commerce, Personal Brand, Beauty, Career/Employment, Health, Music/Entertainment, Finance, Fitness, Productivity, Relationships, Self Improvement, Spirituality, Study, Supplement, Travel.
3. Click Remix this on any card.
4. Edit prompt or theme, then Generate.

The trending bank is curated and refreshed regularly. It currently has the deepest catalog for Image Carousel; other formats may show "No trending content yet" during early rollout.

The flow after Generate

When you click Generate, the piece enters the standard pipeline:

From the right-panel actions:

• Save — keep it in Library; decide later.
• Schedule — pick a Calendar slot. Auto-publishes at that time.
• Download — pull the MP4 / image bundle if you want to post manually somewhere Prolifik doesn't yet integrate.

Practical tips

• Start with Image Carousel + Text Story. They're the two highest-saves and highest-velocity formats. You can ship volume on day one.
• Use "Type my own" sparingly. AI-written copy that follows your brand's Do's/Don'ts beats a hand-crafted one-liner more often than people expect, because it's tuned for the format.
• Remix is the cheat code for starting fast. Don't write a brief from scratch — find a trending example in your industry and remix it.
• Save before you Schedule. If a piece is ambiguous, save it to the Library and review it later in Pulse with full context. Fewer regrets, fewer wasted credits.

Limits and caveats

• Each generation that reaches Ready counts as one video against your monthly cap.
• Regenerations count as new pieces (the original isn't deleted; both occupy the Library).
• Rejected pieces in Pulse do not count against the cap — that's the design.
• Direct Download is enabled on every plan, including Starter; there are no watermarks at any tier.
